I started a new webinar series with Women Who Code Python in October 2020, where I interviewed brilliant women in tech. All the guests we invited for the sessions have diverse background ranging from data science, research to software development.

All the sessions were recorded and can be found here.

The first session of the Ask Me Anything Series was with Shannon Martin. Shannon is a recruiting coordinator via Nelson Staffing at Google. Shannon shared tips about how to apply for jobs effeciently, network with professionals, prepare for interviews, ace online interviews and more.

My second guest was Megan Nalani Chun. Megan is a Data Scientist at Microsoft. She talked about paths a beginner can follow in data science field, her experience as a data scientist, what makes a good data scientist and strategies to find data science jobs.

My third guest was Magdalena. Magda is a software engineer at Valohai. Magda talked about the path she took to be where she currently is, her interest in software engineering, why python is her(and my) favorite langauge, MLOps and open source.

My fourth guest was very special. I invited Patricia Tillotson to share her experiences. Patricia is an award winning data scientist and my mentor. She talked about years of her experience, how to get the business sense of data science, prepare your own metrics, higher education and career options.

My fifth and final AMA session of 2020 was with Mikiko Bazely. We talked about a lot of things including bootcamps, kaggle, research, blogging etc but Mikiko shared a very useful tip about reading research papers and staying up-to-date with the latest reserach and trends. Read about it here.

I am going to continue the series by interviewing more women in tech in 2021. If you have a suggestion about whom I should interview or if you are interested in getting interviewed, please reach out to me.
